Bruce W. Carter, Senior Attorney Mediator
Bruce Carter began his career in State service in 2009 as a member of the Legal Division of the CRD after a successful career in private practice litigating cases on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants. In 2012, Bruce joined the Fair Employment and Housing Commission as an Administrative Law Judge where he drafted regulations interpreting and implementing the FEHA, presided over cases brought by the CRD’s Legal Division, and trained as a mediator. After the Commission was eliminated, Bruce returned to the CRD where he now serves as an Attorney Mediator in the Dispute Resolution Division. Bruce graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Biological Sciences and earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan.
