Becca Schonberg, Mediator
Becca Schonberg joined CRD’s Dispute Resolution Division in 2024. Prior to joining CRD, she was a legal aid attorney practicing primarily in the areas of housing, disability rights, and public benefits. She received her mediation certification in 2016 from SEEDS Community Resolution Center and served as a volunteer mediator on their panel. Before legal aid, she worked for the State of California representing individuals sentenced to death in habeas corpus proceedings. She began her legal career as a law clerk to Judge Philip A. Brimmer in the Federal District of Colorado and then Justice Goodwin Liu of the California Supreme Court. Before law school, she worked as a linguist for an e-discovery company. She received her J.D. from U.C. Berkeley School of Law and her undergraduate degree in comparative literature with highest honors from Cornell University.
