Jamie Gillette, Deputy Director of Enforcement


Jamie Gillette joined CRD in June 2019 as Deputy Director for Enforcement, where she is responsible for the strategic direction and performance of the team conducting all civil rights investigations. Prior to joining CRD, Jamie served the state of California for 21 years, most recently as the Assistant Director in the Filing Division at Franchise Tax Board (FTB). In that role, she led multiple programs and managed a team of over 1000 staff during peak tax season.
Jamie gained extensive leadership experience managing both day-to-day operations and special projects at FTB, including departmental strategic planning and guiding FTB’s historic move to paperless processing. She was a key member of the FTB team that implemented a new tax return filing and payment processing system with the goal of increasing efficiency, transparency, and services to taxpayers.

Jamie has experience working both as a business program leader and as an Information Technology manager. In 2016, she earned the California Public Sector CIO (Chief Information Officer) Leadership Award. Jamie studied at American River College with a concentration in Education. She is a member of and volunteer for the Girl Scouts Heart of Central California, and is a member of the Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs Association.
