Gregory Mann, Senior Attorney Mediator
Gregory Mann joined the Civil Rights Department (CRD) as an attorney in 2009, where he has investigated, litigated, and mediated hundreds of cases involving discrimination in employment, housing, and public accommodations. As associate Chief Counsel Gregory also performed general counsel duties, including representing and defending CRD in administrative and civil matters.
Gregory trained to become a mediator and earned his mediator certificates from Pepperdine’s Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution and the Loyola Law School Center for Conflict Resolution in 2021 before transitioning to CRD’s Dispute Resolution Division (DRD) in 2022. He trained and received another mediator certificate from the American Institute of Mediation in 2025. Gregory has used his experience as a mediator and litigator to successfully assist dozens of parties in reaching resolutions. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School and DePauw University. Although Gregory appreciates the potential of litigation in seeking justice after discrimination occurs, he recognizes and promotes the efficiency of mediation in empowering parties to find mutually beneficial resolutions of their cases that save them time, money, and other resources.
