Attorney IV - Under the general direction of an Assistant Chief Counsel, the Attorney IV supports the Legal Division’s affirmative civil rights enforcement work by representing the Department in systemic and complex litigation brought under the Fair Employment and Housing Act, Ralph Civil Rights Act, Unruh Civil Rights Act, and other statutes in the Department’s jurisdiction. The Attorney IV leads the Legal Division’s most complex and systemic litigation independently with minimal supervision, working cooperatively with other attorneys of varying levels of seniority.

The Attorney IV qualifies for a Hire Above Minimum (HAM). The starting salary will be $12,925.00.

Office Technician - Under the general supervision of the Staff Services Manager II, the incumbent is responsible for performing a variety of clerical functions for the District Office. The Office Technician (Typing) provides quality service and accurate information to the public by triaging complaint inquiries for jurisdiction and simple prima facie as it relates to complaints of unlawful discrimination in employment, housing, and public accommodations, and from hate violence and human trafficking. The incumbent must be able to effectively and efficiently manage the constant clerical processing of case files and a very heavy, repetitive workload. Associate Governmental Program Analyst - The Mission of the Civil Rights Department (CRD) is to protect the people of California from discrimination in employment, housing, and public accommodations, as well as from the perpetration of acts of hate violence.

Under the direction of the Business Services Officer, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst is responsible for independently performing analytical work within the Business Services Office in a variety of functions, including the more complex Business Services activities.

This position will require three or more scheduled in-office days to be established with your supervisor in accordance with Department policy.

Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview. However, upon job offer, candidates must provide proof of residence in California prior to their appointment becoming effective, or the offer may be rescinded.

This position is located in our Los Angeles Headquarters Office.
