Blaine Wasylkiw, Chief Information Officer


Blaine Wasylkiw serves as Chief Information Officer at the California Civil Rights Department, where he leads the department’s technology strategy and delivery in support of CRD’s mission to protect the rights and dignity of every Californian.

Blaine brings more than 25 years of technology leadership experience across both the public and private sectors. He most recently served as Deputy Chief Technology Innovation Officer at the California Department of Technology, where he led the Office of Digital Services and oversaw the platforms, standards, and cross-agency partnerships shaping how 40 million Californians access government online.

Before joining state service, Blaine led digital organizations across the private sector for nearly two decades, launching one of Canada’s first web development firms in the early days of the web, directing the Interactive Media department at The Sacramento Bee, and holding senior technology leadership roles at the California Dental Association.
