Under general direction from the Director and Chief Deputy Director, the CEA - Chief Information Officer (CIO) has overall responsibility for the information technology (IT) activities that support the Department’s critical lines of business. As CIO, the position has management authority over IT operations and project activities and is responsible for the establishment and execution of the CRD IT infrastructure. The CIO serves as the statewide principal policymaker in the IT Division and serves as the Chief IT advisor to the Executive Staff on all aspects of IT. The CIO manages the Information Technology Services Division (ITSD) that provides IT services in support of the Department’s programs, strategic goals, business objectives, and management principles.

Information Technology Supervisor I - Under the general direction of the Infrastructure and Operations Manager (Information Technology Manager I), the Information Technology Supervisor I (ITS I) oversees the daily operations of the IT Desktop Support Unit. The incumbent ensures timely and effective technical assistance to staff by managing a team of IT support specialists, resolving Help Desk tickets, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include monitoring incident response, performance metrics, and adherence to IT service management (ITSM) best practices.

Under the general direction of the Director and the Chief Deputy Director of the Civil Rights Department (CRD), the Deputy Director of Enforcement is responsible for leading the Department’s Enforcement Division (Division). This includes overseeing the performance of the division and making changes to processes, policies, and systems in order to ensure performance goals are met, establishing and maintaining the tools, training and practices needed to foster high levels of staff engagement and productivity, and creating/supporting a work environment consistent with the Department’s core values. The Deputy Director of Enforcement exercises broad responsibility over the Division and serves as a member of the Department’s Executive Team.

The Enforcement Division within CRD receives, processes, investigates, and conciliates complaints of discrimination, harassment and retaliation in employment, housing and by business establishments as well as complaints of hate violence and human trafficking. Investigations are conducted pursuant to state civil rights laws, departmental regulations, and may also be conducted pursuant to federal civil rights laws under work-sharing agreements with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Under the general direction of the Deputy Director of the Dispute Resolution Division, with minimal review and substantial authority, an Attorney III facilitates communication between complainants and respondents to discuss their dispute and reach a mutually agreeable resolution. An Attorney III in the Dispute Resolution Division works as a mediator with minimum supervision, broad discretion, prudence, and independence, is expected to have a commanding understanding of the laws the Department enforces.

Attorney Mediator
Under the direction of the Assistant Chief Counsel of the Dispute Resolution Division, with some review and authority, the Attorney facilitates communications between complainants and respondents to discuss their dispute and reach a mutually agreeable resolution. An Attorney in the Dispute Resolution Division works as a mediator with supervision and is expected to have a commanding understanding of the laws the Department enforces.
